Track 10

Once again, I was in awe today. I was driving through the country, on my way to school and listening to The City of Angels soundtrack. The last three songs on the record are strictly music and tell a romantic story of lost love and courage; strength to get up after the fall.

The clouds were dark and comforting, causing the green grass to be much more vivid then when under the blazing Florida sun. And I remembered how much I love the world. Peace filled my heart and I smiled. I am always so grateful for the blessings that I have. It is amazing to me that something so normal to many is far from normal in my head, it is too beautiful to ever be portrayed with such a description as "normal".

So many memories form me, most consist of some kind of spiritual experience in nature, something irreplaceable; an emotion linked to a portrait of opportunities. I am never more comfortable than when I am surrounded by so much wholesome, selfless beauty.

  1. I agree unreservedly in your interpretation of beauty; however, it doesn't change the fact that by definition beauty is inherently subjective. I have often been surprised by what others have remarked as beauty, but in hindsight it is very clear that there is beauty in all things. Extrapolating further, it is easy to observe admirable traits in anything-- even that which detests us. Beauty is a worthwhile compilation of wholesome characteristics that we equate with being more beneficial to our environment than detrimental.
Just thought I would try and explain exactly what you were saying with an aura of pretentious disdain. That is nerd humor for you.

  2. Alex- love your nerd humor. I will admit that I find many things beautiful and a lot of that is because it is possible to find beauty in all things but that does not change the fact that I have the ability to do so. Too many people do not open their eyes to see all the world has to offer and I choose to be the opposite. You are awesome by the way. ;)
